Six-channel SPI isolator for automotive isolation domains
The Texas Instruments ISO6761QDWRQ1 is a six-channel, unidirectional SPI digital isolator from the ISO676x-Q1 family, built with capacitive coupling technology. It is rated for 5000 Vrms isolation and carries AEC-Q100 qualification, making it a fit for galvanic isolation of SPI buses in automotive ECUs, battery-management systems, and motor-drive control modules.
100 kV/µs CMTI — noise immunity in motor drives
Common-mode transient immunity is specified at a minimum of 100 kV/µs. In a motor-drive or inverter environment, the switching of IGBTs or SiC MOSFETs can slam the isolation barrier with fast voltage edges. A CMTI rating this high means the ISO6761QDWRQ1 will not latch or corrupt the SPI data stream under those transients — a requirement for reliable communication across the isolation boundary in traction inverters or DC-DC converters.
Dual-supply flexibility
The part accepts a supply voltage of 1.71 V to 1.89 V on one side and 2.25 V to 5.5 V on the other. No isolated power supply is integrated.
Propagation delay and timing margin
Maximum propagation delay is 18 ns in either direction, with a pulse-width distortion of 7 ns maximum. At 50 Mbps, the SPI bus length must be kept short.
