1:4 CMOS fanout buffer for general-purpose clock trees
The 551MLF is a single-circuit fanout buffer from Renesas' ClockBlocks™ series, designed to distribute one CMOS clock to four outputs with a maximum frequency of 160 MHz. It accepts a single CMOS input and delivers four CMOS outputs, making it suitable for non-differential clock trees in systems where signal integrity at the fan-out node is the main concern.
Supply range and temperature grade
Compared to the 5PB1104CMGK/W, which operates from 1.71V and over -40°C to 105°C, the 551MLF requires a higher minimum supply and cannot serve cold-start or high-temp environments.
Package and footprint compatibility
Housed in an 8-SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm width) surface-mount package, the 551MLF uses a standard footprint that routes easily on two-layer boards — no fine-pitch fan-out required.
