What this 1:4 clock buffer is for
The 524MILF is a single-ended, non-differential fanout buffer from the ClockBlocks™ family. It takes one clock input and distributes it to four outputs, each capable of running up to 200 MHz.
Single-ended only — know the limitation
Both input and output are single-ended (non-differential). That keeps the pin count low and the layout simple, but it also means this part is not a fit for LVDS, LVPECL, or CML clock trees.
Lifecycle and sourcing
It is ROHS3 compliant. For dual-sourcing resilience, the 5PB1104CMGK/W is a functional equivalent: same 1:4 ratio, same 200 MHz ceiling, same single-ended I/O, but in a Tape & Reel package and rated to 105°C.
What the 200 MHz ceiling means for your design
200 MHz is the maximum input frequency the buffer can cleanly pass to all four outputs.
