Active production — 4170Vrms isolation in a through-hole DIP
The CNY17F2TVM is an onsemi optocoupler in a 6-DIP through-hole package (0.400-inch lead spacing). Rated for 4170Vrms isolation, it suits mains-referenced circuits like AC-motor drives, industrial PLC inputs, and off-line power supplies where the galvanic barrier must hold off transient surges.
Current transfer ratio is specified at 63% minimum, 125% maximum, both at If=10 mA. Turn-on time is 2 µs typical, turn-off 3 µs typical, with rise/fall times of 4 µs and 3.5 µs max. This is fine for 50/60 Hz line sensing, relay debounce, or low-speed digital isolation up to about 50 kHz. Output transistor is rated 70 V collector-emitter and 50 mA continuous current.
The 6-DIP body (10.16 mm wide) is a standard footprint that fits a through-hole PCB. Forward voltage is 1.35 V typical at If=10 mA; the LED can be driven from a logic output through a series resistor. Maximum DC forward current is 60 mA.
