24 MHz ARM Cortex-M3 — entry-level STM32F1 for cost-sensitive control
With 16 KB of Flash and 4K x 8 of RAM, this MCU is sized for simple control loops, sensor readout, or communication bridging — not for complex RTOS-based applications or large data buffers. The 24 MHz core speed limits throughput to around 24 MIPS typical, adequate for UART polling, PWM generation, and basic ADC sampling.
This removes the last-time-buy urgency that obsolete parts carry, making it a stable line item for production builds. The part is ROHS3 compliant.
Integrated analog converters reduce external count
The 10-channel 12-bit ADC and 2-channel 12-bit DAC handle sensor conditioning and analog output loops without external converter ICs. For a simple temperature monitor or a PWM-to-analog output stage, this integration shrinks the PCB footprint and simplifies the supply chain.
