It is ROHS3 compliant. For dual-sourcing or a drop-in with more flash, the STM32L151CBU6A (also Cortex-M3, 32 MHz, 128 KB Flash, same 48-pin footprint) is a functional alternative, though it adds USB and capacitive sensing — check the firmware and peripheral map before swapping.
