20-PLCC footprint, 8 macrocells, 10 ns tpd
The Lattice Semiconductor GAL16V8D-10LJN is an electrically erasable PLD from the GAL®16V8 family, packing 8 macrocells in a 20-lead PLCC (J-Lead) package with a 10 ns propagation delay (tpd).
What the 10 ns tpd means on the bench
The 10 ns max propagation delay sets the timing budget for registered and combinatorial paths through the device. At a 5 V supply, this speed grade supports system clock rates up to roughly 50-60 MHz in simple state machines, though the actual ceiling depends on the external routing delay and output loading. The 8 macrocells can each be configured as registered or combinatorial outputs, making this a direct fit for replacing multiple 74-series logic packages on a board that needs a field-reprogrammable fix.
