The BTS500101TAEATMA1 is a single-channel high-side N-channel power switch from Infineon's Automotive PROFET family, qualified to AEC-Q100. It switches loads from 8 V to 18 V and delivers up to 48 A continuous — a rating that suits heavy inductive or resistive loads like DC motors, solenoids, and pre-heaters in 12 V automotive body electronics. The 1.6 mOhm typical Rds(on) keeps conduction losses low at high current; at 48 A the dissipation is roughly 3.7 W at 25 °C junction, which rises with temperature per the normalised curve.
