The BSP742RIXUMA1 is a single-channel high-side power switch from Infineon's miniPROFET® family, in a PG-DSO-8-6 package (standard SOIC-8 footprint, 3.90 mm width). It switches a resistive or inductive load on the high side using an N-channel MOSFET with a typical on-resistance of 250 mOhm.

What the 250 mOhm Rds(on) and 400 mA rating mean for your BOM

At 400 mA, the 250 mOhm typical Rds(on) produces a conduction loss of I²R = 40 mW — negligible for the SOIC-8 package's thermal budget, but the junction temperature derating matters: the device is specified over -40°C to 150°C junction, and Rds(on) roughly doubles at 150°C vs 25°C, so actual voltage drop at high temperature is about 200 mV at full load.
