Six-channel half-bridge driver for three-phase inverters
The Infineon 6EDL04I06PTXUMA1 is a six-channel, half-bridge gate driver from the EiceDriver™ family, designed to drive IGBTs and N-channel or P-channel MOSFETs in a three-phase inverter configuration. The non-inverting input type simplifies the interface to a standard MCU PWM timer.
Supply rail and bootstrap — what the 13 V to 17.5 V range means
The driver requires a bias supply between 13 V and 17.5 V. That is tighter than many universal gate-driver ICs that accept 10 V to 20 V, so a 12 V-only bus rail will not reach the minimum. If your system runs a 24 V backplane, you will need a local linear regulator or a small DC-DC to drop to 15 V. The 600 V bootstrap rating on the high side covers the full rectified DC bus from a three-phase 400 VAC mains with healthy margin for transients.
Package and footprint
The surface-mount package suits automated assembly; the wide-body gives adequate pin spacing for the 600 V creepage requirements on the high-voltage bootstrap pins.
