The 74LCX540FT is an 8-bit buffer with inverting logic and 3-state outputs, part of Toshiba's TC74LCX low-voltage CMOS family. The 3-state outputs let multiple devices share a common data bus — the OE pin pulls all outputs to high-impedance when asserted, preventing bus contention during power sequencing or multi-master arbitration.
Package and temperature grade
The 1.65 V minimum supply voltage means this buffer can interface directly with 1.8 V logic families (like LVCMOS18) without a level translator, as long as the output load is within the 24 mA drive capability. At the 3.6 V maximum, it is fully compatible with 3.3 V standard logic rails.
