In a 12 V battery monitoring circuit with a 10:1 divider, 7 mV of offset at the comparator input translates to roughly 70 mV of uncertainty at the battery, well within the margin for an over-voltage or under-voltage alarm. For a high-impedance sensor front-end using 100 kΩ source resistors, the 0.25 µA bias develops a 25 mV error across the resistor — significant enough that a lower-impedance divider or a buffer ahead of the comparator is worth considering.
