What the ratings mean for the BOM
The 2.5 mA maximum quiescent current per package is modest for a quad comparator — it keeps the thermal load low in a sealed ECU, but it is not a micropower part for always-on sensor nodes. Input offset voltage is 2 mV maximum at 5 V, which is adequate for threshold detection and zero-crossing circuits but not for precision window comparators where you would reach for an op-amp.
The 14-SOIC (0.154" body width, 3.90 mm) is a standard surface-mount footprint shared across many comparator and op-amp quads. The supplier device package is also 14-SOIC. The part is offered in Tape & Reel and Cut Tape options, which suits both prototype assembly and production pick-and-place. No special thermal management is needed at the 2.5 mA quiescent level.
It is ROHS3 compliant. For BOM planning, this part is a safe choice for long-life automotive programs.
