100 ms reset timeout — why it matters
The 100 ms minimum reset timeout gives the processor time to complete its power-on reset cycle before the supervisor releases the reset line. Processors with fast-starting internal oscillators or those that need a longer hold-off for external crystal start-up may need a longer timeout — this part's 100 ms minimum is a floor, and the actual timeout can be longer but not shorter. If your BOM requires a precise timeout or a programmable delay, this fixed supervisor may not fit.
Package and mounting
The X5043S8Z comes in an 8-SOIC narrow-body package (3.90 mm body width) for surface-mount assembly. The supplier device package is also 8-SOIC, so no footprint mismatch between the generic case code and the shipped part. Plan for manual tube loading or a tube-to-reel transfer step.
Lifecycle and compliance
It is ROHS3 compliant, which covers the full RoHS exemption list including lead in high-temperature solder.
