15 Mbps isolated digital interface
The Renesas PS9151-V-AX is a single-channel photocoupler in a 5-lead SOIC package, delivering 15 Mbps data rate with an open-collector output. It provides 3750 Vrms isolation between input and output sides, with a typical forward voltage of 1.65 V at the LED input. Common-mode transient immunity is rated at 15 kV/µs minimum, which means it rejects fast voltage transients that would otherwise couple across the isolation barrier in motor-drive or inverter applications. The 60 ns max propagation delay (both tpLH and tpHL) keeps the signal timing predictable for synchronous interfaces like SPI or RS-485 isolation.
Industrial temperature and package fit
The 5-SO package (6-SOIC body, 0.173" width, 4.40 mm) uses a standard SOIC-5 footprint — the same land pattern as many 6-pin SOIC photocouplers, but with one fewer pin on one side. The open-collector output sinks 2 mA per channel, sufficient for driving a 5 V CMOS input or a low-speed optocoupler load. The 20 mA max LED forward current allows direct drive from a 5 V GPIO through a series resistor.
