The PS2811-1-V-F3-A is a single-channel, DC-input, transistor-output optoisolator from the NEPOC series, delivering 2500Vrms of galvanic isolation in a compact 4-SSOP surface-mount package. It's built for separating low-voltage control logic from higher-voltage or noisy field-side circuits — think PLC digital inputs, motor-drive feedback, or isolated sensor interfaces where you need to break ground loops and protect the controller side from transients. The current transfer ratio spans 100% to 400% at a forward current of 1mA, which means you get at least 1mA of collector current per mA of LED drive — plenty of margin to saturate the output transistor for logic-level signalling without over-driving the LED. The 40V output ceiling and 40mA per-channel rating cover most 5V, 12V, and 24V logic and relay-coil interfaces. Rise and fall times of 4µs and 5µs respectively are adequate for DC-level sensing and low-speed serial signalling up to about 100 kHz; for faster buses you'd want a digital-output isolator instead.
Temperature range and field deployment
The 100°C ceiling is the junction limit — keep the LED forward current and output load within the derating curve if the board sits near a heat source or in a sealed box. The 2500Vrms isolation rating is a one-minute withstand test voltage.
ROHS3 compliant per the listing, which covers the current EU exemption landscape.
