It provides 3750Vrms isolation voltage, making it suitable for breaking ground loops and protecting low-voltage logic from high-voltage transients in industrial controls, power supplies, and motor drive interfaces. The transistor output can sink up to 40mA and switch up to 70V, covering common logic-level and small-load drive requirements.

The current transfer ratio (CTR) is specified at 200% minimum and 400% maximum when the input diode is driven with 5mA forward current.
