5000Vrms isolation in a 4-DIP through-hole package
The Renesas NEPOC PS2561B-1-L-A is a single-channel DC-input transistor-output optocoupler in a 4-DIP (0.300", 7.62mm) through-hole package. It provides 5000Vrms of galvanic isolation between input and output, making it suitable for industrial power supplies, motor drives, PLC I/O modules, and any application where a clean isolation barrier is needed between a low-voltage control side and a higher-voltage load side.
200% to 400% CTR at 5 mA — design margin for aging and temperature
The current transfer ratio (CTR) is specified at 200% minimum and 400% maximum when the LED is driven with 5 mA forward current. The 300mV maximum Vce saturation at 50 mA output current keeps power dissipation low.
