AMD SVI2 controller — dual-rail VR for server-class processors
The ISL69147IRAZ-T7A is a dual-output voltage regulator controller from Renesas, purpose-built for AMD SVI2 serial voltage identification bus. It generates two independent output rails from a single 4.5V to 25V input, each programmable from 0V to 3.05V via the SVI2 interface — exactly what an AMD EPYC or Ryzen-based server/desktop board needs for core and SoC power. The controller handles the SVI2 protocol natively, so the processor's power-management firmware negotiates the voltage set-points without an external sequencer or CPLD. Two outputs in one package saves board space versus two single-output controllers, and the 48-QFN (6x6 mm) with exposed pad keeps the thermal path short when driving high-current phases.
Package and board-fit — 48-QFN with exposed pad
Housed in a 48-VFQFN with an exposed pad (6x6 mm body), the ISL69147IRAZ-T7A requires a thermal land on the PCB for both heat sinking and electrical ground connection.
Lifecycle and compliance — active, ROHS3, no successor flagged
No official successor or pin-compatible second-source is recorded.
