USB 2.0 signal routing — dual SPDT with 780 MHz bandwidth
The ISL54222AIUZ-T is a dual 2:1 multiplexer/demultiplexer from Renesas, built for USB 2.0 signal switching. Each of the two SPDT channels routes a differential pair between one common port and two selectable ports, with break-before-make switching that prevents momentary shorts during channel change. The 780 MHz -3 dB bandwidth comfortably passes USB 2.0's 480 Mbps data rate with margin, and the 8 Ohm max on-resistance keeps insertion loss low enough that the signal eye stays open across a typical PCB trace run.
Housed in a 10-lead MSOP (3.00 mm width, 0.118" pitch), the ISL54222AIUZ-T occupies minimal board area. The supplier device package is 10-MSOP, and the part is supplied on Tape & Reel for automated pick-and-place assembly.
