8-SOIC RTC with I²C bus and battery backup
The ISL1208IB8Z: It communicates over an I²C (2-Wire Serial) bus and includes an Alarm, Leap Year compensation, and 2 bytes of SRAM for user data storage. The RTC tracks time in HH:MM:SS format (12/24 hr selectable) and date in YY-MM-DD-dd format, covering the full calendar with leap-year handling. The 2-byte SRAM retains data as long as the main or battery supply is present.
Supply range and timekeeping current
Timekeeping current draw is 4 µA to 6 µA maximum at 3 V to 5 V, which keeps the RTC alive on a coin cell for years when the main rail is off.
