10-bit non-inverting buffer — 5V bus interface
The IDT74FCT2827BTQ is a 10-bit non-inverting buffer from Renesas (formerly IDT) with 3-state outputs, in a 24-SSOP surface-mount package. It buffers and drives up to 10 bits of data on a shared bus, with the 3-state control letting multiple devices share the same lines without contention. The supply range is 4.75V to 5.25V, so it's a straight 5V-logic part — no 3.3V compatibility without a level shifter.
Output drive — 15 mA source, 12 mA sink
The high and low output currents are rated 15 mA and 12 mA respectively. That's enough to drive a few TTL loads or a short PCB trace, but if you're buffering a long backplane or a heavy capacitive bus, plan on adding external line drivers. The 3-state outputs float to high impedance when disabled, so bus contention is a non-issue as long as the enable logic is sequenced right.
Lifecycle and sourcing
The RoHS compliance is listed as non-compliant, which means it's the older tin-lead finish; if your assembly line is RoHS-only, you'll need the lead-free variant or a waiver.
