Quad current-feedback amp in 14-SOIC
The EL5462ISZ is a quad-channel current-feedback operational amplifier from Renesas Electronics, packaged in a 14-SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm width) surface-mount package supplied in tube form. It delivers a 500 MHz -3dB bandwidth and a 4000 V/µs slew rate, making it suited for high-speed signal conditioning where settling time and fast edge response are critical.
Parametric fit for the BOM
Four independent amplifier circuits in one package, each drawing 1.5 mA supply current — the total quiescent draw for the quad is 6 mA, which keeps the thermal load manageable in the SOIC footprint. Each channel can source or sink 100 mA of output current, and the supply span ranges from 5 V minimum to 12 V maximum — a single 5 V or 12 V rail covers the full operating envelope. Input offset voltage is 1.5 mV typical, and input bias current is 2 µA — these DC specs matter for precision biasing in transimpedance or summing-node applications where the feedback resistor dominates the noise gain.
Active production and compliance
The industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C covers most equipment and telecom environments; the device is not AEC-Q100 qualified, so it is not specified for automotive under-hood or cabin deployment.
