8Mbit SPI flash in a 8-WLCSP footprint
The AT45DB081E-UUN-T is an 8Mbit SPI serial flash from Renesas Electronics' DataFlash family, organized as 264 bytes × 4096 pages.
Housed in an 8-ball WLCSP (2.32 mm × 1.61 mm) — the 0.50 mm ball pitch demands a controlled impedance PCB stack-up if the SPI bus runs at full 85 MHz. The surface-mount package is supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options for volume or prototyping. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C (TC), the industrial grade common for factory automation and telecom line cards. The 1.7 V minimum supply allows direct interfacing with 1.8 V logic without a level shifter.
Write performance and memory organization
Page write time is 4 ms typical, with a byte/word write cycle of 8 µs. The 264-byte page buffer allows efficient write-and-erase operations for data logging or code shadowing. The SPI interface supports Mode 0 and Mode 3, and the device is fully static — no clock is needed for data retention.
Marked as Active in production with ROHS3 compliance. The laser-etched marking on the WLCSP package should trace cleanly to a Renesas assembly site; the date-code font and package outline are consistent with the DataFlash series.
