PLL clock buffer for server chipset clock trees
The 9ZXL1231AKILF is a PLL-based zero-delay buffer that takes one differential clock input and fans it out to twelve HCSL outputs, targeting Intel QPI and PCI Express (PCIe) reference clock distribution. Maximum output frequency is 150 MHz, covering PCIe and QPI reference clock rates. The 1:12 fanout saves board space and reduces jitter accumulation compared to daisy-chaining multiple smaller buffers — one input drives twelve loads with deterministic skew.
Differential input and output (Yes/Yes) means the part accepts and delivers LVDS or HCSL-level signals, maintaining signal integrity over longer board traces.
