2:5 fanout buffer with 700 MHz ceiling
The 85314BGI-01LFT is a 2:5 fanout buffer and multiplexer from Renesas, rated for differential input and output up to 700 MHz. It accepts a wide range of single-ended and differential standards — HCSL, LVCMOS, LVDS, LVHSTL, LVPECL, LVTTL, SSTL — and delivers a clean LVPECL copy to five outputs.
Input flexibility and output standard
The input mux selects among seven signal types — HCSL, LVCMOS, LVDS, LVHSTL, LVPECL, LVTTL, SSTL — so the same BOM position can be wired to a crystal oscillator, a PLL output, or a backplane clock without changing the buffer. The differential input path (Yes/Yes) preserves signal integrity for the 700 MHz ceiling. Outputs are LVPECL, a common differential standard for high-speed clock distribution. The 20-TSSOP (4.40 mm width) footprint is a compact 0.65 mm pitch — the layout engineer should route the differential pairs with controlled impedance and matched length to the five loads.
Renesas lists the 85314BGI-01LFT as Active. ROHS3 compliant — no lead, no halogenated flame retardants in the package. The 20-TSSOP is a standard surface-mount package, reflow-compatible with lead-free profiles.
