Quad PCM codec for multichannel audio
The 821054PQFG is a quad PCM codec with integrated filter, packing four ADCs and four DACs into a single 64-QFP package. It communicates over a PCM audio interface and operates from a single 4.75V to 5.25V supply for both analog and digital rails.
With 4 ADCs and 4 DACs on-chip, this codec replaces up to eight single-channel converters plus the glue logic for synchronisation. That saves board area and simplifies the PCM bus routing — one interface handles all four channels.
Lifecycle and compliance — no obsolescence headache
ROHS3 compliance means it meets the latest EU restriction levels, no exemption paperwork needed. For a production BOM line this is a straightforward qualification — no LTB risk, no successor to chase.
