16-bit bus buffer with 3-state control
The 74FCT163244CPFG: Four elements each handling 4 bits give a 16-bit-wide non-inverting buffer — a natural fit for 16-bit data or address buses where the outputs must go high-Z to share the line with other drivers. Output drive is rated 8 mA source and 24 mA sink — enough to fan out to multiple TTL loads without an external line driver, but the 8 mA source side limits direct LED or relay drive.
Industrial temperature grade from -40°C to +85°C means the part is specified for factory-floor, outdoor-adjacent enclosures, and unheated equipment rooms — not just office ambient.
Housed in a 48-TFSOP (0.173", 4.40 mm width) body, also referred to as 48-TVSOP in the supplier device package field — a fine-pitch SMD package that requires careful PCB layout for 0.5 mm pin pitch and adequate decoupling. Surface-mount mounting; the narrow 4.4 mm body width helps conserve board space in dense digital designs.
