What the 5P1105A000NLGI is and where it fits
The Renesas 5P1105A000NLGI is a clock generator and fanout buffer designed to accept a wide range of input standards — HCSL, LVCMOS, LVDS, LVPECL, or a crystal — and distribute up to four copies of that clock in the same output formats. It operates without an internal PLL, meaning the output frequency is a direct buffered copy of the input; there is no multiplication or division. This makes it a clean choice for applications where jitter from a PLL is undesirable, such as PCIe reference clocks, Ethernet PHY reference clocks, or SerDes reference distribution in telecom and industrial equipment. The 2:4 input-to-output ratio means two independent clock sources can be selected and fanned out to four outputs. All inputs and outputs support differential signalling (HCSL, LVDS, LVPECL) as well as single-ended LVCMOS, giving the designer flexibility to interface with almost any common clock source on the board. The supply range from 1.71 V to 3.465 V covers common rails. The industrial temperature grade (-40°C to 85°C) suits outdoor and factory-floor applications.
Lifecycle and compliance
It is ROHS3 compliant and lead-free, which satisfies EU and most global regulatory requirements for new designs.
