8-bit D-type with tri-state bus drive
The 54FCT374ATDB is an 8-bit D-type flip-flop with tri-state outputs, clocked on the positive edge. It stores eight bits of data and drives a bus through the tri-state enable — the outputs go high-impedance when OE is deasserted, letting multiple devices share the same data lines without contention. Propagation delay is 7.2 ns max into a 50 pF load at 5 V — this sets the data-to-output settling time for bus handshaking. The 15 mA source and 48 mA sink drive handles standard TTL loads and short PCB traces without external buffers.
Hermetic CDIP for harsh environments
Housed in a 20-pin ceramic DIP (CDIP) with a 0.300-inch body width, this is a through-hole hermetic package. The ceramic body and sealed cavity resist moisture and outgassing — it belongs in avionics, satellite, and downhole instrumentation where plastic packages fail under thermal cycling or vacuum. Quiescent supply current is 1 mA typical; input capacitance is 10 pF per pin.
