Hold current and trip characteristics
The 0ZCJ0050FF2G is a polymeric PTC resettable fuse with a hold current (Ih) of 500 mA max and a trip current (It) of 1 A, meaning normal circuit current must stay below 500 mA to avoid tripping, and the device will switch to high resistance when current reaches 1 A. Time to trip is 100 ms, so the fuse responds quickly to overcurrent faults, limiting energy let-through to downstream components.
Voltage and fault ratings
Rated for a maximum voltage of 8 V and a maximum fault current of 100 A — the part can safely interrupt a short circuit up to that level without rupturing. Initial resistance (Ri) is 150 mOhms min, rising to 700 mOhms max after tripping (R1); this post-trip resistance limits the leakage current once the fault clears, but also adds a voltage drop that must be accounted for in the load budget.
