250 mA hold, 40 A interrupt — PTC resettable for automotive and industrial
The Bel Fuse 0ZCJ0025AF2E is a polymeric PTC resettable fuse from the 0ZCJ series, rated to hold 250 mA continuously and trip at 500 mA. In a fault condition it can interrupt up to 40 A at 24 V, clearing in 80 ms typical — fast enough to protect a 24 V sensor bus or actuator driver from a shorted load.
1206 footprint, surface-mount — board-fit and approvals
The surface-mount format suits automated pick-and-place assembly on a standard PCB footprint. Approvals include AEC-Q200, cURus, and TUV — the cURus mark confirms UL/CSA recognition for North American equipment, while TUV covers European safety requirements.
Active production — sourcing and lifecycle
Initial resistance is 550 mOhms min; after a trip event the post-trip resistance rises to 2.3 Ohms max. The PTC resets when power is removed and the device cools — no replacement needed after a fault clears, which saves field-service cost in automotive and industrial control boards.
