5V precision reference for ADC/DAC rails
The LTC6652BHLS8-5#PBF: That combination means the output stays within about 0.2% total error over temperature without any external trimming — a solid anchor for a 16-bit SAR ADC's reference input or a DAC's voltage scale. For a precision measurement channel, that noise floor integrates into the ADC's input-referred noise budget; a reference with 10x higher noise would cost you a full bit of effective resolution at the converter output.
Hermetic 8-CLCC package and industrial temperature grade
The 5.3V to 13.2V input range gives plenty of headroom above the 5V output — a 5.5V rail would be marginal; a 12V supply is comfortable. The 560 µA supply current is the reference's own draw; the 5 mA output current is what it can source to external loads, so a 16-bit ADC drawing 2 mA from the reference leaves 3 mA of margin for decoupling and filter networks.
Active lifecycle — no design-in deadline
That means no last-time-buy clock ticking for new designs, and no urgency to qualify a second-source before the BOM freezes.
