10-bit SPI digital temperature sensor for board-level monitoring
The AD7814ARTZ-REEL7: Its 10-bit resolution provides 0.25°C per LSB — adequate for thermal monitoring of PCBs, power supplies, and processor modules where absolute precision under 0.1°C is not required. For qualification testing or thermal profiling at temperature extremes, budget the wider tolerance band.
Supply flexibility and power-down modes
The SPI output keeps the host MCU's ADC channels free for other analog signals — one chip-select line per sensor is all that is needed. Integrated shutdown and standby modes allow the part to drop its quiescent current for battery-powered or duty-cycled applications.
SOT-23-6 package and deployment envelope
Housed in a 6-lead SOT-23-6 package (supplier device package SOT-23-6), the footprint measures approximately 2.9 mm x 1.6 mm — a standard small-outline transistor package suited for space-constrained designs like sensor modules, handheld instruments, and dense mixed-signal boards.
Marked as Active on the lifecycle status — no end-of-life risk for ongoing designs. ROHS3 compliant, so no exemption concerns for EU or global BOMs. Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) packaging, surface-mount compatible with standard pick-and-place assembly.
