8-channel, 8-bit, parallel DAC in a ceramic DIP
The AD7228ABQ is an 8-channel, 8-bit digital-to-analog converter from the AD7228A series, with voltage-buffered outputs and an R-2R ladder architecture. Each of the eight DACs settles in 5 µs (typ) to within ±1 LSB INL and DNL, making it a fit for multi-channel control loops or waveform generation where channel-to-channel matching matters. The parallel data interface writes all eight channels through a single 8-bit bus — the differential output option allows driving twisted-pair lines or differential inputs on an ADC without an external op-amp stage.
Supply rails and temperature range
Packaged in a 24-lead CERDIP (0.300" wide, 7.62 mm body), the ceramic body handles the full temperature swing without the moisture-sensitivity risk of plastic — no bake-out required before reflow if you are hand-soldering or socketing.
