Product details

What this 16-bit SAR ADC brings to a multi-channel acquisition chain

The AD4681BCPZ-RL7 is a 16-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) ADC with two internal converters sampling two differential inputs simultaneously at 500 kSPS per channel. That architecture means no phase skew between channels — useful for correlating voltage and current on a motor phase or synchronising left and right sensor data in a vibration analysis system. Each channel has its own track-and-hold, so the S/H:ADC ratio is 0:2 — the converters are always sampling, not sharing one front-end. The serial data interface keeps pin count low on the 16-LFCSP (3x3 mm) package, which is a common footprint for space-constrained multi-channel boards.

Supply rails, reference, and temperature grade

The reference can be driven externally or supplied by the internal reference — useful when you want to ratiometric measurement or share a precision reference across multiple ADCs.
