I²C dimming and output regulation
Brightness control is handled over an I²C interface, allowing the host processor to set the flash current or torch mode without an external PWM pin — the dimming resolution is managed digitally within the driver. The single-output boost converter integrates the switching FET internally, so the bill of materials stays to the inductor, input/output capacitors, and the I²C pull-ups. Operating from -30°C to 85°C ambient, the part covers the consumer temperature band; the 12-DSBGA (1.6 mm × 1.6 mm typical) demands a controlled reflow profile and adequate thermal via area under the package to keep junction temperature within limits during the 500 mA flash pulse.
Package and compliance for production
The 12-WFBGA package is a fine-pitch BGA — board houses should confirm solder paste stencil aperture and reflow profile for the 0.50 mm typical ball pitch before first build.
