The 1.5SMC56H: The reverse standoff voltage of 45.4 V (typ) is the dc working voltage the protected rail sits at without the TVS conducting — it sees the full rail continuously. For a telecom 48 V rail, the 45.4 V standoff gives comfortable headroom below the minimum breakdown — the part is off at normal operating voltage and turns on only for the transient.

Automotive grade and temperature range

AEC-Q101 qualification means the part passed the automotive discrete semiconductor stress battery — temperature cycling, humidity, and surge current. The junction operating range of -55°C to 150°C covers the full automotive thermal band. For engine-compartment or body-control modules that see prolonged 125°C ambient, the 150°C Tj ceiling still leaves derating margin at the package level.

Package and assembly notes
