Peak pulse power and clamping profile
The 1.5KE30A R0G: For a 24 V rail, the 25.6 V reverse standoff voltage sits comfortably above the nominal bus voltage, so the diode stays out of the circuit during normal operation and only conducts when a transient pushes the line above its 28.5 V minimum breakdown threshold. This is a unidirectional device — the cathode band on the DO-201 package marks the grounded side. Bidirectional protection requires two diodes or a different part number from the same series.
Rated for junction temperatures from -55 °C to 175 °C, this TVS covers the full industrial and automotive under-hood thermal profile. The wide operating range means it can be placed on a hot PCB near a switching regulator or in an outdoor enclosure without derating concerns.
For BOM planning, the base product number 1.5KE30 covers the full family, with the R0G suffix denoting Tape & Reel packaging.
