Automotive TVS for 24V bus protection
The 1.5KE250AHA0G is a 1500W unidirectional TVS diode from Taiwan Semiconductor's 1.5KE series, designed to clamp transients on 24V nominal automotive power rails. With a 214V reverse standoff voltage and 237V minimum breakdown, it sits above the normal operating range of a 24V system and triggers only on load-dump or inductive kickback events.
DO-201 axial package and board integration
Through-hole DO-201AA (DO-27) axial package — the leads are formed for through-hole insertion, and the body diameter is sized for the 1.5kW dissipation without exceeding the lead temperature rating. The axial lead form factor allows the diode to be mounted standing off the board or flush, depending on the lead-bend profile used in the assembly.
