Automotive-grade transient suppressor
The 1.5KE220AHA0G: AEC-Q101 qualification means this part meets automotive-grade reliability testing: temperature cycling, high-temperature reverse bias, and ESD robustness per the automotive discrete semiconductor standard.
Clamping and breakdown characteristics
Breakdown occurs at a minimum of 209 V, ensuring the diode does not conduct during normal 185 V rail operation. Power line protection is not supported — this is a unidirectional device for DC rails, not AC mains. The single-channel design protects one line per package; for bidirectional or multi-line protection, pair two devices or choose a bidirectional variant from the same family.
Package and board integration
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package, the 1.5KE220AHA0G mounts through-hole. The DO-201 footprint is standard across the 1.5KE series — the same board layout accepts any voltage variant, simplifying BOM consolidation for different rail protection levels. Supplied in Tape & Box (TB) format, suitable for hand-insertion or selective soldering. The axial leads require manual or wave-solder assembly; no reflow profile applies.
