JFET-input quad op-amp — the classic audio workhorse
The TL074ACD is a JFET-input quad operational amplifier from STMicroelectronics, part of the TL074 family. It packs four independent op-amps in a single 14-SOIC surface-mount package, each channel drawing 1.4 mA supply current.
3 MHz GBW and 13V/µs slew rate — fast enough for audio and control loops
With a 3 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 13V/µs slew rate, this quad op-amp handles audio-band signals cleanly and can swing fast enough for many control-loop and signal-shaping applications. The 40 mA output current per channel gives it enough drive for headphones or to push into ADC inputs without a separate buffer. Supply range spans 6 V to 36 V single or dual supply, so it works equally well off ±3 V rails or a single 12 V rail.
Commercial temperature grade — indoor use only
If your design needs to live in a cold warehouse or a hot factory, you would need the TL074AI or TL074BI variants with extended temperature range.
Obsolete — sourcing reality for the TL074ACD
For new designs, ST recommends migrating to a current-production alternative. No official successor order code is listed by ST, so any replacement should be validated against your circuit's requirements.
14-SOIC package — hand-solderable with care
Housed in a 14-SOIC (0.154", 3.90 mm width) surface-mount package, the TL074ACD ships in Tube form. The supplier device package is designated 14-SO.
