The STM32L451RCT6: It carries 256 KB of flash and 160 KB of SRAM — enough to hold a moderate application stack plus a real-time OS footprint without external memory. The 52 general-purpose I/O lines break out through a 64-LQFP package with a 10x10 mm body and 0.5 mm pitch — a standard footprint that places cleanly on a two-layer board without micro-vias.
Supply range and temperature grade — one-rail simplicity
The brown-out detect and POR circuits keep the reset state clean across the full supply range.
Peripheral set — CAN, QSPI, and the analog front-end
Connectivity includes CANbus for industrial fieldbus bridging, QSPI for memory-mapped serial NOR flash expansion, and SAI for audio codec interfaces. The 16-channel 12-bit ADC and single 12-bit DAC cover sensor acquisition and analog output without an external converter.
