RS485 link at 20 Mbps with 1.65 V supply
The STR485LVQT is a half-duplex RS485 transceiver from STMicroelectronics, rated for 20 Mbps data rate — fast enough for Profibus DP or similar fieldbus links that need to push through 12 Mbaud with margin. Receiver hysteresis of 70 mV rejects line noise on long cable runs better than a bare 50 mV threshold.
Housed in a 10-VFDFN exposed-pad package (3x3 mm DFN), the STR485LVQT saves board area compared to an SOIC-8 footprint. Operating temperature range is -40 °C to +105 °C, covering industrial enclosures and under-hood automotive compartments that see ambient spikes above 85 °C.
