100 V, 20 A Schottky pair in a TO-220
The STPS40SM100CT is a dual Schottky rectifier from STMicroelectronics, housing two 20 A diodes in a common-cathode configuration within a single TO-220-3 through-hole package. Rated for 100 V reverse voltage, it targets applications where the reverse stress exceeds the 45 V or 60 V ratings of sibling parts like the STPS40L45CT or STPS40M60CT.
Conduction losses and thermal design
Reverse leakage is 45 µA at 100 V, 25°C; leakage doubles with junction temperature, so above 100°C the leakage contribution to the thermal budget becomes significant and must be factored into the heatsink calculation. The junction temperature rating of 150°C max provides margin for high-ambient or forced-air designs, but the TO-220 package's junction-to-case thermal resistance governs the practical current derating.
Active lifecycle, ROHS3, and sourcing posture
ROHS3 compliant, with no restricted substances above the threshold; the part carries standard STM documentation for REACH and conflict-minerals reporting upon request.
