What the 770 mV forward drop means for a 1 A rail
The STPS1H100U is a 100 V, 1 A Schottky rectifier in a DO-214AA SMB package. Reverse leakage is 4 µA at the 100 V reverse rating, so in a continuously biased OR-ing or reverse-polarity protection circuit the standby loss stays negligible — about 0.4 mW.
Package and board-fit — same footprint as the STPS1L40A
The DO-214AA (SMB) package is a standard surface-mount footprint shared across the STPS1 family. A board originally laid out for the 40 V STPS1L40A accepts the STPS1H100U without any pad or stencil change — the only difference is the reverse voltage rating (100 V vs 40 V) and the junction temperature ceiling (175°C vs 150°C). The 2 A sibling STPS2H100U also uses the SMB package and the same 175°C junction rating, so a BOM that needs more current margin can move up without a layout revision.
