The 8-bit STM8S architecture uses a different toolchain and instruction set than the ARM Cortex-M based STM32 family. A drop-in replacement to an STM32 part is not possible without a board spin and firmware rewrite — the STM32L151CBU6A is a 32-bit alternative with a different pinout and peripheral map, not a pin-compatible swap.
