Active 8-bit MCU with 64 KB flash and 24 MHz core
The STM8S207K8T6CTR: It packs 64 KB of program flash, 6 KB of SRAM, and 1 KB of EEPROM on a single die — enough headroom for a mid-range control application without external memory. The 24 MHz clock rate sets the throughput ceiling for real-time loops like sensor fusion or motor commutation; the internal oscillator means no external crystal is needed for the core timing.
Peripheral set and I/O for control and communication
25 general-purpose I/O lines are available in the 32-LQFP (7x7 mm) package — enough for a keypad, a small LCD segment driver, and a handful of sensor interrupts. On-chip connectivity includes I²C, SPI, UART/USART, LIN, and IrDA — the UART handles RS-232 or RS-485 via an external transceiver, while LIN suits automotive body-node buses. The brown-out detect and POR circuits keep the core from running on a marginal supply.
The part is RoHS3 compliant (lead-free, no restricted substances beyond the exemption list). The tape-and-reel packaging (Cut Tape also available) suits automated pick-and-place assembly.
The surface-mount package is moisture-sensitive; store the reels in a dry cabinet or bake before reflow if the moisture-barrier bag is breached.
