The STM8L052C6T6 runs the STM8 core at 16 MHz — the ceiling is set by flash wait-states, not the core itself, so tight loops that fit in cache execute at full speed while random flash access adds a cycle. 32 KB of program flash and 2 KB of RAM (2K x 8) give enough room for a single-task control loop or a small scheduler, but the RAM budget is tight for a full RTOS heap.
