170 MHz Cortex-M4 with mixed-signal peripherals
The STM32G473VET6 is an ARM Cortex-M4 MCU clocked at 170 MHz, built for control-loop applications that need both compute throughput and dense analog conversion — think dual-motor field-oriented control or multi-channel data acquisition where the CPU handles the math and the on-chip ADC/DAC covers the sensor interface. On-chip memory is 512 KB flash and 128 KB RAM — enough headroom for a real-time OS, the application stack, and a moderate data buffer without external memory. The 86 general-purpose I/O lines in the 100-LQFP package leave room for parallel sensor buses and display interfaces alongside the serial peripherals.
Analog front-end density: 42 ADC channels, 4 DAC channels
The 42-channel 12-bit ADC bank covers a large number of analog inputs — current-sense resistors, thermistors, potentiometers, or external sensor voltages — without needing an external multiplexer. The four 12-bit DAC channels can output reference voltages or analog setpoints directly, reducing external component count in servo-drive or signal-generator designs.
